<\/p>\nFiltronic has secured a new \u00a30.4m contract from an existing European defence customer, extending its engagement into an additional business unit of a major prime contractor.<\/p>\n
The contract, which is scheduled for delivery in FY2027, covers the design, development and supply of a wide-bandwidth RF solution. The programme is expected to move into volume production in the future, although no timeline or value has been disclosed beyond the initial award.<\/p>\n
Production will take place at Filtronic\u2019s recently opened microelectronics facility in Sedgefield. The site has been designed as a secure, automated manufacturing environment capable of supporting high-volume output of complex RF modules for defence applications.<\/p>\n
The award represents a continuation of Filtronic\u2019s relationship with the unnamed customer and reflects ongoing demand for high-performance RF technologies within the European defence sector.<\/p>\n
Chief executive officer Nat Edington said the contract demonstrates \u201ccontinued confidence in our technology and ability to deliver high-quality programmes,\u201d adding that the company is \u201cincreasingly well positioned to address long-term demand for complex, high-performance wideband solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheffield-headquartered manufacturing and engineering sector software firm IntelliAM AI has acquired Irvine-based RBM Lubrications & Monitoring Solutions.<\/p>\n
Seven employees have transferred, together with certain engineering assets and vehicles.<\/p>\n
The two companies already work together as part of the supply chain, and a statement explained that the deal should create opportunities to expand the IntelliAM platform in the central belt of Scotland. It strengthens operational capabilities by integrating experienced employees and complementary assets, enhancing service delivery and optimising resource utilisation.<\/p>\n
The transaction is structured as deferred consideration, with the value of the assets \u2013 estimated at approximately \u00a325,000 \u2013 payable in cash on 31 December 2029.<\/p>\n
As part of the acquisition, the founder of RBM Lubrications Brian Sarginson will join the group as vice president of IntelliAM Scotland and at the next group grant of options, will get more than 100,000 ordinary shares.<\/p>\n
IntelliAM AI anticipates that the deal will be \u201cmodestly accretive\u201d to full-year 2027 profit and is expected to make a positive and growing contribution to margins and profitability over time.<\/p>\n
RBM Lubrications achieved revenues for the year ended 31 July 2025 of \u00a3648,331, a profit before tax of \u00a372,571, and net assets being acquired are estimated to have a current market value of approximately \u00a320,000.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Heather served as senior independent non-executive director at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, where she held multiple committee roles including chair of finance and operational performance and vice chair of nomination and remuneration.<\/p>\n
Heather\u2019s previous roles include interim finance director and controller across various companies, as well as group finance director at Birse Group and finance director for European, American, and African operations at Faber Prest.<\/p>\n
One Health also announced chief medical officer Shantanu Shahane will retire from the role to focus on clinical practice, with Professor Anil Hormis joining as associate medical director to manage the handover.<\/p>\n
