Bradford-based Nano Park Company has completed its latest Yorkshire business park development, bringing a new collection of hybrid workshop and office units to Skipton.<\/p>\n
The development, located on Snaygill Industrial Estate on the southern outskirts of the town, comprises five purpose-built units designed to meet growing demand from small businesses, start-ups and expanding firms seeking flexible commercial space.<\/p>\n
Each 1,760 sq ft unit combines workshop or storage accommodation on the ground floor with high-specification office space above, creating what the developer describes as a hybrid business environment.<\/p>\n
The project is the latest addition to Nano Park Company’s portfolio following the success of developments in Bradford, Wakefield and Armley, all of which are fully occupied.<\/p>\n
Director Edward Marshall said the company had experienced significant delays in delivering the Skipton scheme because of issues relating to power connections.<\/p>\n
“We were very delayed in completing this development due to an extremely awkward and protracted problem with Northern Power Grid which delayed our project by 18 months, but once this was sorted out, we have brought the units to the market as soon as we could,” he said.<\/p>\n
“We are delighted that our Skipton development is now complete, bringing much-needed flexible hybrid business spaces to this popular area.<\/p>\n
“As one of the only speculative developers building anything at the moment, we are sure we will see strong demand.”<\/p>\n
Marshall said the units had been designed to appeal to a broad range of occupiers, from trades businesses and start-ups to larger companies seeking regional satellite operations.<\/p>\n
Features include roller-shutter access, air-source heat pumps and pre-installed gigabit-capable fibre broadband.<\/p>\n
The company expects strong interest in the development as marketing begins.<\/p>\n
Co-director Jimmy Marshall said the scheme reflects increasing demand from entrepreneurs and growing businesses looking for self-contained premises.<\/p>\n
“We are in the age of the entrepreneur, with more and more small and start-up companies looking for self-contained space of their own,” he said.<\/p>\n
“We expect up to 50 jobs will be created on site, providing a timely boost to the local economy.<\/p>\n
“We are now providing flexible, affordable and attractive business premises to help companies of this type grow and prosper, where they want to be.”<\/p>\n
The company is continuing to expand its presence across Yorkshire, with a further Nano Park development in Huddersfield currently progressing.<\/p>\n
