Financial technology and support services business Fintel has reported a strong first half of 2026, with double-digit growth as it sharpened its focus on software, data and regulatory services.<\/p>\n
The AIM-listed company said organic adjusted EBITDA increased 11.2% to \u00a311.8m in the six months to 30 June, up from \u00a310.6m a year earlier, supported by improved operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Organic revenue rose 2% to \u00a337.4m, driven by growth across both its software and data division and its services business. On a continuing basis, revenue reached \u00a338.6m following the acquisition of Pearson Ham’s market pricing business and the disposal of gateway surveying services and APS Legal & Associates earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Software and subscription income remained a key driver of performance, increasing 7.9% to \u00a326.1m and further strengthening the group’s recurring revenue profile.<\/p>\n
Chief executive Matt Timmins said the company had delivered “a strong first half performance” while continuing to execute its strategy of building a more focused, higher-quality business.<\/p>\n
During the period, Fintel launched Omnicore, a whole-of-market mortgage and protection distribution platform, and introduced Trust, an AI-enabled compliance and oversight solution. Its Matrix360 platform also continued to gain traction, with 26 institutional insurance customers now using the service.<\/p>\n
The acquisition of Pearson Ham’s market pricing business in January has strengthened the group’s proprietary data capabilities, while the disposal of non-core operations is expected to improve the overall quality of earnings.<\/p>\n
Fintel ended the half year with \u00a37.3m in cash and net debt of \u00a338.2m, equivalent to leverage of 1.4 times EBITDA. The group also retains \u00a376.5m of available funding under its \u00a3120m revolving credit facility.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, the board said trading remains in line with expectations for the full year, supported by growing demand for technology, data and regulatory support across the UK retail financial services market.<\/p>\n
