Specialty insurance managing general agent Fiducia has appointed a new underwriter to strengthen its combined liabilities team to meet broker and client demand.<\/p>\nProfessional services group S&W has appointed Mark Lewis as partner in its Leeds office, forming part of the firm’s long-term growth strategy and continued investment across the North of England.<\/p>\n
Mark joins S&W with more than 15 years’ experience advising businesses on audit, assurance and financial reporting matters. He joins from Deloitte, where he spent over 14 years within the firm’s audit & assurance practice, most recently as partner and UK lead for family-owned and managed businesses within audit & assurance.<\/p>\n

Emma Harvey has been promoted to the position, after joining the Leeds-based MGA in 2024 as assistant underwriter where she has provided support across Fiducia\u2019s specialist insurance products.<\/p>\n
Following her promotion to underwriter, she is specialising in Combined Liabilities insurance, working with brokers across the UK, Europe and international markets to assess individual risks and provide insurance policies tailored to the individual requirements of their clients.<\/p>\n
This includes employer\u2019s liability, public liability and products liability for hauliers, couriers and warehousekeepers.<\/p>\n

Flemingate in Beverley has appointed an experienced new centre manager as the shopping and leisure destination approaches full occupancy and footfall continues to grow.<\/p>\n
Amy Whittaker has joined owner and operator Wykeland Group with almost 20 years\u2019 experience in shopping centre management.<\/p>\n
Whittaker began her retail career with Tesco before spending seven years at Manchester\u2019s Trafford Centre. She later worked at the Merry Hill centre near Birmingham and most recently held senior roles at The Potteries Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, where she became Centre Director in 2024.<\/p>\n
The appointment comes as Flemingate reports a 3 per cent increase in footfall so far this year compared with 2025, with occupancy now close to 100 per cent.<\/p>\n
