Yorkshire Water is recruiting almost 100 staff as it steps up delivery of its \u00a38.3bn infrastructure investment programme.<\/p>\n
The utility giant is looking to fill 90 roles across its asset delivery division, strengthening its project management, engineering and project support teams as it accelerates work on major upgrades to water and wastewater infrastructure across the region.<\/p>\n
A significant proportion of the vacancies are for project managers, who will oversee the planning and delivery of large-scale capital projects during the company’s 2025-2030 investment period. Engineering opportunities include project engineers, reliability engineers, process engineers, design engineers and commissioning assurance engineers.<\/p>\n
The recruitment drive comes as Yorkshire Water seeks to increase the pace of its investment programme, which aims to improve resilience, enhance customer service and deliver environmental improvements.<\/p>\n
Richard Stuart, director of asset delivery and engineering at Yorkshire Water, said: “Last year, we got underway with more than 270 significant projects upgrading our water and wastewater infrastructure \u2013 from drilling boreholes to unlock new underground water sources to creating new wetlands to aid the treatment of wastewater.<\/p>\n
“We need to keep this momentum going, so that we can continue delivering for the environment and for our customers. That means bringing in a host of new, talented colleagues, who can help us to meet all of our ambitions and our goal of bringing investment forward, and completing projects sooner, where we can.”<\/p>\n
The latest recruitment campaign will take the total number of employees hired as part of Yorkshire Water’s \u00a38.3bn investment programme to more than 1,000, underlining the scale of one of the company’s biggest ever capital investment programmes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
