Environmental consultancy Cura Terrae has launched a dedicated marine and coastal division as it expands its services to support sustainable development and nature recovery across the UK.<\/p>\n
The new division brings together ecological, environmental and technical expertise to help organisations protect and restore marine and coastal environments while delivering development and infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n
It builds on specialist expertise brought into the Cura Terrae Group through its acquisition of Scottish consultancy EnviroCentre in 2025.<\/p>\n
The business said the new team will work with port operators, developers, public bodies and infrastructure providers on projects where environmental protection needs to be balanced with economic and infrastructure development.<\/p>\n
Services will include marine development consenting and compliance, environmental impact assessment, marine and terrestrial ecology and ornithology, coastal processes and climate resilience, and marine licensing for dredging and construction projects.<\/p>\n
The division will also provide marine ecology surveys, habitat assessments, coastal biodiversity strategies, licensing advice, habitat restoration planning and long-term ecological monitoring.<\/p>\n
Cura Terrae said the move comes as coastal habitats face growing pressure from climate change, infrastructure development and biodiversity loss, alongside increasingly complex environmental legislation.<\/p>\n
Campbell Stewart, director at Cura Terrae Land & Nature, said the UK’s coastlines and seas were among its most valuable natural assets, supporting wildlife, communities and the wider economy.<\/p>\n
He said the new division would give clients access to specialist expertise to tackle complex environmental challenges while delivering projects that support healthier and more resilient marine ecosystems.<\/p>\n
