Fintel has reported a 17% rise in adjusted earning to \u00a312.4m for the first half of 2026, driven in large part by January’s acquisition of Pearson Ham’s market pricing business.<\/p>\n
The Huddersfield-headquartered business provides software, data and support services to the UK retail financial services sector.<\/p>\n
Stripping out the impact of the Pearson Ham deal, organic adjusted EBITDA growth was more modest, at 11% to \u00a311.8m.<\/p>\n
Matt Timmins, chief executive of AIM-listed Fintel, said: “Fintel delivered a strong first half performance, with organic growth across our core businesses, continued expansion of recurring revenues and a 16.6% increase in EBITDA from continuing operations.<\/p>\n
“The resulting incremental margin of over 90% demonstrates the strength of our operating model, operational gearing and the benefits of recent acquisitions being integrated across the group.”<\/p>\n
The software and data division saw revenue increase 10% to \u00a320.2m, including a \u00a31.2m contribution from the acquisition of Pearson Ham’s market pricing business in January 2026. The division delivered adjusted EBITDA of \u00a38.5m with a margin of 42.1%.<\/p>\n
Services revenue from continuing operations increased 1% to \u00a318.4m, with the division delivering adjusted EBITDA of \u00a36.5m and a margin of 35.3%.<\/p>\n
During the period, Fintel completed the disposal of Gateway Surveying Services and APS Legal & Associates in April 2026, streamlining the portfolio to focus on technology, data and professional services.<\/p>\n
The group launched an AI-enabled compliance and oversight platform during the period, extending technology adoption across adviser customers.<\/p>\n
Fintel reported net debt of \u00a338.2m, representing leverage of 1.4 times adjusted EBITDA. The group has \u00a37.3m in cash and \u00a376.5m of headroom in its \u00a3120m revolving credit facility.<\/p>\n
The board announced an interim dividend of 1.35p per share, up from 1.3p in the prior year.<\/p>\n
