<\/p>\nRamsdens Solicitors has welcomed an experienced lawyer as partner to lead the Yorkshire law firm\u2019s specialist Real Estate Finance offering.<\/p>\n
Adam Waite joins from commercial law firm Tyr Law where he was Head of Real Estate Finance and brings more than 13 years\u2019 experience in real estate and banking law.<\/p>\n
His wide-ranging expertise sees him advising both lenders and borrowers in real estate and social housing finance matters such as bridging and development finance as well as term loans.<\/p>\n
This has included working on a \u00a370m refinance deal involving 40 properties across Yorkshire and the Midlands occupied by a well-known coffee brand and fast-food outlet.<\/p>\n
He also acts regularly for domestic and international lenders as well as institutional investors on development and investment finance transactions alongside loan book sales and purchases.<\/p>\n
Based in Ramsdens\u2019 Leeds office, Adam will develop the firm\u2019s specialist real estate finance offering, working alongside colleagues to support existing clients and build relationships with lenders and borrowers across the region.<\/p>\n

Leeds-based law firm, Clarion, has appointed restructuring and insolvency specialist Matt Leech as a partner, further strengthening its ability to support businesses navigating financial and operational challenges.<\/p>\n
Joining the firm’s Business Recovery & Insolvency team, Leech brings more than 18 years’ experience advising insolvency practitioners, lenders, businesses and directors on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters.<\/p>\n
After beginning his career in commercial roles, he completed a law conversion course before qualifying during the aftermath of the global financial crisis, a period that shaped his expertise in helping businesses and stakeholders manage financial distress, recover value and navigate complex insolvency processes.<\/p>\n
Over the course of his career, he has advised on a broad range of restructurings, administrations, liquidations and recovery actions, building a strong reputation within the professional services market.<\/p>\n
He has particular expertise in non-contentious insolvency, corporate restructuring and turnaround mandates, working closely with businesses and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions during periods of change.<\/p>\n
Leech has also developed strong relationships with insolvency practitioners, accountants, lenders and financial institutions across the region and nationally.<\/p>\n

Regional housebuilder Harron Homes has appointed former new homes quality board operations director Amy Wright to the newly created role of group customer experience director.<\/p>\n
Wright, from South Yorkshire, will lead a transformation of the customer journey across the housebuilder\u2019s Yorkshire and North Midlands regions as the sector prepares for major consumer reforms.<\/p>\n
This comes in light of The Government\u2019s commitment to introducing a single mandatory consumer code and statutory New Homes Ombudsman for housebuilders.<\/p>\n
While the final requirements are still being developed, the new framework is expected to be fully operational by June 2028.<\/p>\n
Where currently housebuilders can select one of several codes to align with, the mandatory single code aims to bring all housebuilders under a unified standard, ensuring greater consistency in how housebuilders communicate with customers, handle complaints, and provide aftercare and access to redress.<\/p>\n
Wright brings more than a decade of customer care and consumer standards experience to the group-wide role.<\/p>\n
She is already familiar with Harron Homes, having previously worked at the company as customer service manager from 2017 to 2019, during which time she was responsible for post-completion care, defect management, complaints and customer communications.<\/p>\n
She went on to establish a group customer relations function across nine regional offices at another housebuilder, introducing the people, processes and procedures required to deliver a consistent service.<\/p>\n
She later led a company-wide refresh of the customer journey at that housebuilder in preparation for adoption of the New Homes Quality Code when it launched in 2022.<\/p>\n
In 2024, she joined the New Homes Quality Board itself as operations director. The independent, not-for-profit organisation operates the widely adopted voluntary New Homes Quality Code and appoints the New Homes Ombudsman Service.<\/p>\n
In her role, Wright supported developers through registration and onboarding, helping them adapt their processes and demonstrate compliance with the Code.<\/p>\n
After leaving the NHQB, she\u00a0established her own consultancy to help developers assess their readiness for the anticipated statutory framework.<\/p>\n
Harron Homes commissioned her to carry out a gap analysis before inviting her to take up the new permanent role.<\/p>\n
Wright is currently working with teams across Harron’s two regional offices and developments to understand existing practices.<\/p>\n
Over the next 18 months, she will work with directors and colleagues in sales, construction, technical and commercial to create one streamlined customer journey, improve quality and aftercare, and ensure every department understands its contribution to the customer experience.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI’m excited to return to Harron at a moment when both the business and the wider industry are changing. Harron builds an excellent product and has skilled, committed people across every discipline.<\/p>\n
“My role is to help bridge the gaps between departments while making sure every customer receives one clear and consistent journey from reservation through to aftercare.<\/p>\n
