Smoothwall, a safeguarding technology provider in UK education, has acquired Securus Software, which has been providing digital monitoring solutions for schools since 2002.<\/p>\n
The acquisition brings together two established names in school safeguarding technology.<\/p>\n
Leeds-based Smoothwall protects students through its real-time content aware Filter and fully moderated Smoothwall Monitor service, and other solutions. Securus also provides a fully managed monitoring service to schools across the UK and internationally.<\/p>\n
Combining the two organisations’ monitoring expertise aims to strengthen safeguarding provision for schools.<\/p>\n
Gavin Logan, executive vice president for Smoothwall in the UK and across Europe, said: \u201cSecurus is one of the longest-serving online safety providers in UK education, matched only by Smoothwall.<\/p>\n
“Their capabilities will help us advance Smoothwall\u2019s mission to help schools identify safeguarding concerns as early as possible and with greater context.<\/p>\n
