Kromek Group, a Huddersfield-based d<\/span>etection technology firm, has received a follow-on $1.4m\/\u00a31m order from an existing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customer in its Advanced Imaging division.<\/span><\/p>\n

The order is for the supply of CZT-based detector components for the customer\u2019s medical systems.<\/p>\n

The group said it would begin delivery immediately and this is expected to be completed over the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

Arnab Basu, CEO of Kromek, said:<\/span> \u201cWe are pleased to have received this additional order from an existing OEM customer. It reflects the repeat nature of business in our Advanced Imaging division, with a steady flow of follow-on orders once our detectors are designed into a system.<\/p>\n

“Delivery of this order will contribute to our growth in the current year as well as provide visibility into the next financial year. We look forward to updating the market on further progress within Advanced Imaging.\u201d<\/p>\n

East Yorkshire-headquartered chemicals business, Croda International, has reported sales of \u00a3450m – up 6.6 per cent on an organic basis – in an update on its sales performance during the three months ended 30 September 2026.<\/p>\n

The business said Beauty sales were “exceptionally strong”, with double-digit percentage sales growth in both Beauty Actives and Beauty Care, supported by increased innovation activity.<\/p>\n

In Life Sciences, good year-on-year sales growth in Pharma and Seed Enhancement was partially offset by a challenging demand environment continuing in Crop Protection.<\/p>\n

To enhance efficiency, Croda said it is targeting a \u00a350m reduction in working capital and \u00a3100m of total annualised pre-tax benefits both for full year 2028, with \u00a346m cumulative savings delivered to 30 June 2026.<\/p>\n

The group said it remains on track to deliver the expected transformation benefits, with further incremental cost savings expected in H2 26 and in 2027 as it delivers efficiencies – particularly by optimising the supply chain.<\/p>\n

Croda’s update states: “We are rigorously executing our plan to grow earnings and returns, successfully refocusing innovation, leveraging customer proximity, reinvigorating Beauty, rebalancing Pharma and maximising returns from recent investments.<\/p>\n

“Customer spending on innovation has increased and this is reflected in our pipeline and projects with customers.<\/p>\n

“Our latest customer survey again found that satisfaction with our product quality, the most important factor, continues to be our highest score, supported by consecutive improvements in ratings for innovation, technical information and formulation support.”<\/p>\n

For FY 26 the business said it continues to expect g<\/span>roup organic sales growth within its three to six per cent range. Croda will report full year 2026 results on 23 February 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sheffield-headquartered big data firm, Cirata, has signed a contract renewal with NatWest Group Plc for its Data Migrator product.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new term is for a period of two years. Total value is approximately $370,000\/\u00a3274,334 marking an uplift from the previous contract value, with a requirement to move up to around two Petabytes of data.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stephen Kelly, chief executive officer, said: <\/span>“We are pleased to announce the renewal of NatWest’s contract for our Data Migrator product.
