A concrete product manufacturer is set for expansion with the support of a \u00a36m funding package from HSBC UK.<\/p>\n
Naylor Concrete Products, headquartered in Barnsley, is\u00a0using HSBC UK funding to support the modernisation of its concrete fencepost plant in Garforth.<\/p>\n
With the support of HSBC UK, the company is acquiring an automated pre-casting plant and batching plant that will feed a new factory.<\/p>\n
The plant will manufacture a comprehensive range of concrete fencing products including slotted concrete fenceposts, concrete posts for timber fencing and smooth and rock-faced gravel boards.<\/p>\n
HSBC UK funding is supporting Naylor Concrete Products\u2019 expansion plans, with the new plant addressing capacity constraints and underpinning a planned period of growth.<\/p>\n
Commissioning of the new plant will be accompanied by a training programme for the existing workforce and the creation of 10 new jobs across the business.<\/p>\n
With the support of the HSBC UK funding, Naylor Concrete Products is anticipating a \u00a35m increase in turnover over the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

“In my first year, 1993, our turnover was \u00a312m and we were overly dependent on clay pipe manufacture, a product we no longer make.<\/p>\n

“This latest investment is a key milestone for Naylor; it will drive a planned period of growth in our concrete products business.\u201d<\/p>\n

Naylor Concrete Products is a manufacturer of concrete lintels, which the company has manufactured for over 50 years.<\/p>\n
The move into concrete fencing dates back to the 2020 acquisition of Garforth-based Procter Fencing; the company supplies builders\u2019 merchants across the UK, with its products being used in key sectors including rail and infrastructure.<\/p>\n
