Clinova launches pioneering new health and wellness app

Clinova, the rapidly expanding global digital consumer healthcare company, has unveiled Caidr 3.0, the latest version of its popular health and wellness search engine for smart self-care.

After more than five years of development, the brand-new Caidr 3.0 is one of the fastest and most comprehensive health apps in the world.

The flourishing science-led company, which saw its annual sales soar in 2020, topping 2019 sales by more than 500 per cent, has strong Yorkshire connections. Both co-founder Arsalan Karim and Chief Medical Officer Tom Bracewell hail from the county.

Key features of the free-to-download app include the ability to search hundreds of health topics as well as helpful treatments and products. It also provides messages and content on well-being and local advice on health while travelling abroad.

Central to the latest version is Caidr Search, which brings the full capabilities of Caidr’s machine language processing platform to mobile devices.

Designed by a medical team of pharmacists and doctors with more than 250 years of combined experience in patient interactions, Caidr’s model allows dynamic, systems-wide updates to more than 212,000 words of content in just under 0.9 seconds.

Using a medical lexicon of more than 97,000 medical terms spanning nine medical specialties, Caidr uses algorithms to create customised feeds of trusted health content and respond to user search requests in under 0.009 seconds.

Arsalan Karim, Co-founder of Clinova said: “Caidr 3.0 realises our long-term vision of bringing the full power of its health and wellness data platform to your mobile device. With a search bar at the centre of a redesigned user interface, Caidr Search is both easy to find and simple to use. You simply type in a health topic you would like to learn about, and Caidr takes care of the rest.

“If your query sounds familiar, Caidr creates an article about the health topics you searched for, complete with a list of products for smart self-care. This update, available to download today, puts the expertise of Clinova’s medical team on full display. Caidr’s content is clear, informative, and-most of all-good for your health.”

The latest version of Caidr 3.0 arrives at a time of significant growth for Clinova, which recently announced that former Global Chairman of Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan, Alessandro Barnaba, was joining its Board to advise on its funding strategy as the business prepares for its next phase of growth.

Clinova is backed by some of the biggest names in healthcare, including John Molter, former head of customer sales at P&G; Ernesto Levy, former head of Novartis’ consumer division in the United States; and John Honey, former Senior Vice President at Reckitt Benckiser.

The London-headquartered science-led company saw its annual sales soar in 2020, topping 2019 sales by more than 500%. This rapid growth has been boosted by the success of key products O.R.S Hydration Tablets and the Covaflu face mask.
