Yorkshire Telephony Firm Makes Business Mobile Network Roaming a Reality
Leeds headquartered telephony, internet and mobile firm The Technology Group has launched the region’s first business-only mobile network that can roam to any UK network when a customer experiences loss of signal.
The business-only TTG mobile network has been built from the ground up specifically for business users and includes extras which the major networks can’t – or won’t – provide.
Through its own independent virtual mobile network, TTG Mobile makes relying on one mobile carrier to make calls a thing of the past for businesses across the country. The TTG Network ‘Signal Plus’ bolt-on works to ensure businesses don’t miss out on valuable calls due to poor signal availability.
The Signal Plus bolt-on will enable network users to automatically pick up the strongest signal available on their handset or mobile broadband device, roaming onto other UK networks should signal be lost – a feature that the major mainstream networks don’t provide.
Jonathan Marsden, sales director at The Technology Group, says, “Poor signal strength is a hot topic across the country. MPs and the media are putting pressure on the big mainstream networks to share signal coverage. Realistically, that’s never going to happen. This was one of the key drivers behind the development of TTG Mobile, which can use all major UK networks to provide continuous signal coverage to businesses throughout the country.
“I believe that, with this service, we have the potential to change the landscape of business mobile telephony. As well as network roaming, our new service gives businesses free calls from office to mobile, a single bill for landlines and mobiles, together with co-terminus contracts to streamline the process and reduce the admin burden – all with no upfront costs. And, because we directly control the network, our Yorkshire-based back office team handles everything from billing to mobile device set up, which gives customers flexibility backed by a personable, localised service.”
The Technology Group was established in 2011 by directors Jonathan, Richard and David Marsden to provide independent business telephony, internet and mobile communications with a ‘no jargon’ approach.
Working with a blue chip and SME client base across the UK – with customers including the NHS, Sanderson and Specsavers – the business has undergone significant expansion over the last three years, consistently doubling turnover year on year. This has sparked a move to larger new headquarters in Leeds this year to house the growing team, in addition to the firm’s existing London office.
