On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Law firm Sills & Betteridge has announced the appointment of Andrew Kerrigan, an associate solicitor with a specialism in regulatory and compliance law.
He will be responsible for growing the provision of legal advice to small and medium sized businesses that have experienced a workplace incident or accident.
Kerrigan said: “There is a perfect storm brewing that combines increased regulatory activity with increased penalties and fines which means businesses need to put compliance towards the top of their corporate agenda My experience in regulatory law, defense advocacy and claims handling for a major insurer means I have the skills to develop and deliver a regulatory and compliance service which will help businesses avoid the common pitfalls, respond when things do go wrong and develop strategies for continual improvement.”
Lucy Chilvers
Radcliffe-on-Trent based construction company Wynbrook has announced the appointment of Lucy Chilvers as contract surveyor.
Chilvers will join the Wynbrook team after spending most her career as a quantity surveyor. She previously held positions at main contracting companies such as Mansell Construction, Mott MacDonald and G F Tomlinson. She will work across all three of the companies’ construction divisions which includes Wynbrook Homes, Wynbrook Care Homes and Wynbrook Design and Build.
She said: “Wybrook really appealed to me as a company because of the success they have had in recent years and because their advance order book will ensure we are involved in design and build projects for at least the next three years. Wynbrook is well respected within the industry and has a great team approach to projects.”
