East Mids jobs saved as property agency sold out of administration

Residential, rural and commercial property agency Humberts has been bought out of administration by a holiday letting agency.

The 176-year-old firm, which has offices in Nottingham, Lincoln and Stamford, has been bought Natural Retreats, with all jobs saved.

Humberts had been struggling for some time, and had been in talks with administrators from Begbies Traynor before a buyer was decided on earlier this month (May).

On LinkedIn, Humberts managing director, Ian Westerling, posted: “It has been a huge four weeks for the future of the Humberts brand. I have been blown away by the commitment and professionalism of our people and excited and enthused by the vision of our new owners. Onwards and upwards!”

Natural Retreats offer holiday lettings in Yorkshire, Scotland and Wales.
