Nottingham architect names new MD

Richard Flisher

A new managing director has been appointed at CPMG, the Nottingham-based architectural practice.

Richard Flisher he has stepped up into the role from director and will lead a firm which employs 50 people in Nottingham and London.

Flisher has 30 years’ experience as an architect and, with a particular interest in low sustainable and energy design, was responsible for delivering the UK’s first Carbon Negative, PassivHaus certified office building located in Leicester; more locally he also delivered the award-winning Rushcliffe Arena.

He will continue to act as an architect on key projects, as well as leading on the long-term growth strategy.

He said: “CPMG is a great place to work; I’ve been with the business for more than 20 years during which time I have had the opportunity to be involved in some iconic projects across the UK, in Central Europe and in Abu Dhabi, China and Bangladesh, in addition to launching an office in London.

“I’m looking forward to working with my fellow board members and our talented architects, technologists, interior designers and graphics and visualisation teams to continually deliver outstanding designs to all clients.”
