Delays of over an hour on M1

The M1 has all traffic stopped and held between J24A to J25 with delays of at least 75 minutes for approaching traffic on the northbound carriageway.

Highways England says the delays are due to a road traffic collision.

The agency has released a statement saying: “For traffic approaching the incident locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and may potentially have to re-route your journey.

“If travelling towards this area from much farther afield, you may wish to change your strategic route, allow extra travel time and follow guidance from our on-road variable message signs and media.”
