Long-awaited Nottingham bar names opening date

A gin and prosecco bar which has been in the planing for over a year has named an opening date.

Plans were submitted to open Ginsecco in the Cornerhouse leisure complex in February 2018. Refurbishment work on the unit has now completed and the bar will open on Friday 31 May.

Charlie Truman, centre executive at The Cornerhouse said: “We are really excited to finally reveal that Ginsecco will opening later this month, it has been in the pipeline for a while and suspense has really been mounting. I’m sure it will be absolutely worth the wait; the extensive menu of drinks looks amazing, and great for both connoisseurs and those that want try something a bit different.

“I think the new venue will be a much-welcomed addition to The Cornerhouse, offering something different for our visitors to enjoy. It will be great to see how they react to the new bar.”

General manager Daniel Boulton, said: “To put it simply, Ginsecco will be a big old serving of British nostalgia with a good helping of all things Gin & Prosecco. A visit to see us should feel like a big, friendly hug after a long and weary day. Pure comfort.

“All good things come to those who wait. We know it’s been a long time coming and we’re thankful for everyone’s support. But, we cannot wait to be open.”
