Journey9 toasts successful first year

MARKETING company Journey9 UK has celebrated its first year in business, which has seen it grow, make a profit and launch a major campaign for Jaguar.
The company, formed by entrepreneur Laura Wolfe with support from her brother David, a serial US-based investor, hosted a party at The Alchemist bar in Spinningfields last night attended by 200 guests.
The UK arm of Journey9, so named as it is Mr Wolfe’s ninth business venture, has exceeded its revenue targets by 40% and grown from one person to six in the last 12 months.
Laura Wolfe said: “It’s been an amazing year. When I started at my kitchen table with a laptop and a mobile phone, I didn’t think 12 months on I’d be looking back on the hardest, yet the most exciting and rewarding year of my career to date.”
She said the highlight of the year was “unquestionably” the success of the Jaguar campaign.
“There have been no lows – just a few difficult moments, which are all part of the learning curve.”
David Wolfe added: “Laura and her team exceeded even our most ambitious plans by more than 40%”
Journey9 has worked for 21 clients including Jaguar UK, business advisers BDO, United Utilities and Brandspace, with project value ranging in size from £10,000 to over £300,000.
The firm’s work for Jaguar UK, where it created the ‘Manchester Celebrates Jaguar’ campaign’ has been nominated for a marketing industry award.
Prior to launching Journey9 Laura Wolfe was sales director for a Manchester events company, but is best known for her role as North West regional director with the Institute of Directors.
