Rigby Construction starts new venture
A MERSEYSIDE building contractor has expanded with the launch of a new division in Greater Manchester.
Rigby Construction has opened an office on Broadway Business Park in Chadderton and aims to replicate the success of its Merseyside operations in Greater Manchester.
The new venture, called RBC (Manchester) Ltd, will be headed up by managing director John Collier.
Rigby, which employs 20 staff, specialises in building services work for the public sector, education and health services market, including construction, heating, electrical, plumbing and heating work.
Darren Rigby, group managing director of Rigby Construction, said: “We believe there are a number of opportunities across Greater Manchester for niche building contractors like ourselves.
“Our service focuses on collaborative working with all parties and we aim to build long term relationships with our clients. We are confident we can replicate this approach in a new geographic area.”
The company set up the new division with a £150,000 Enterprise Finance Guarantee loan provided by NatWest.
The Government backed scheme aims to give smaller businesses access to working capital or investment finance to support their day to day operations. Under the EFG scheme, the government will guarantee 75% of any loans made, with the bank covering the remaining 25%.
