Fuel card firm’s hike in international sales

A Crewe-based company that provides fuel cards to businesses, has reported a 60% growth in international sales to £500m.

Radius Payment Solutions, the parent company of UK Fuels, expanded across Europe and into Asia last year.

It was included in the Sunday Times’ International Track for the first time, putting it on an equal footing with private companies that have the fastest-growing international sales.

Recently, it announced a £12m investment in the North West, with the construction of a headquarters at Crewe Business Park, in Cheshire, serving more than 600 staff. Building work’s due to be completed by spring next year.

The business has grown significantly since it was founded in 1990 and it now operates from 20 offices across 13 countries, providing more than a million fuel cards and related services to fleets across the globe.

Bill Holmes, chief executive of Radius Payment Solutions, said: “We’ve grown our staff numbers by a quarter in the past year alone, and while we’re focused on plans for further international expansion, we’re firmly committed to keeping our base in the North West.”

Radius is focused on growth through a technology-enabled and innovation-led approach.

The company’s hoping to increase its staff numbers by 11% by the end of 2018 while expanding its operations into more countries before the end of this year.
