Fast growing petrol station and motorway services firm Euro Garages has plans for a new service station in Merseyside.

Blackburn based Euro Garages has put together plans for a petrol station, two drive through restaurants and a coffee shop on land next to Junction 1 of the M58 near Maghull.

The EG Group is one of the fastest growing firms in the North West and recently completed a multi-million expansion in the US.

The firm completed the £1.53bn acquisition of 762 convenience stores in the USA from Kroger Co.

The deal included 66 franchise operations operating in 18 states and employing 11,000 associates under the banner names Turkey Hill, Loaf ‘N Jug, Kwik Shop, Tom Thumb and Quik Stop.

EG Group is run by brothers Mohsin and Zuber Issa who founded the business in 2001.

EG Group operates across eight markets (UK, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany and the US) and employs more than 20,000 people.

Its latest plans which include a 5,100 sq ft petrol station are expected to create a number of jobs.

The development is close to land which has been designated for housing and employment.

Highways England has announced it is to carry out works to improve access to the M58.

The professional team on Euro Garages’ project includes PWA Planning; DEP as landscape architect; ADS Design as architect; Leigh Ecology; Curtins; and Capita as transport consultant.
