Fashion firm opens for business in the Trafford Centre

Abercrombie and Fitch

A leading American fashion firm has opened its second UK store in Manchester.

Abercrombie & Fitch, which specialises in casual ware, has opened its latest branch at the Trafford Centre.

The 5,554 sq ft flagship site is one of eight new prototype shops that have been completed since the initial launch of the design in February 2017.

The new prototype has been designed to encourage more interaction with customers.

The layout of the 5,554sq ft store includes changing rooms with separate light and music controls and phone charging docks.

Checkout points have also been placed around the store in a bid to keep queues to a minimum.

Intu’s regional managing director Colin Flinn said: “Intu’s high footfall, experience-based destinations are popular locations for international brands looking to thrive within new areas of the UK.

“Abercrombie & Fitch’s new store has been carefully designed to give Intu Trafford Centre shoppers even more to enjoy as part of their big day out at the Centre.”

The new store is one of eight new prototypes that have been completed since the launch of the design in February 2017.

Abercrombie & Fitch brand president Stacia Andersen added: “We are delighted to unveil our new store design in the UK for the first time, in the fashion-forward and vibrant city of Manchester.

“Customers old and new will discover A&F’s evolved brand experience and collections, in a space designed to deliver a seamless experience across all our platforms.”

The store in Manchester is only the second location outside of the US following an opening in Hong Kong.
