A Yorkshire-based consulting engineers’ practice has grown its Manchester office to nine staff in its first year of operation.

And it says the North West property market will provide the foundation for further expansion.

Brentwood Design launched a Manchester office in October 2017.

Situated within Flint Glass Works in Ancoats, the firm is a single disciplinary consulting engineers practice working within the built environment.

Having been established in Harrogate for more than 40 years the company has ambitious plans to grow on a national scale, with regional coverage.

Brentwood selected Manchester as a strategic foothold on which to build the business, with further plans to launch in the Midlands region, based on secured contracts.

Darren Keenan, director of the North West office, said: “Manchester’s burgeoning property market was a key target for us and we see it as the epicentre of our strategic growth.

“Manchester boasts schemes at every stage of the project lifecycle, including new build and refurb developments across all sectors, so offers a prime opportunity for us to lend our expertise from inception through to commissioning and post-occupancy.

“Having secured a number of leads and subsequent projects in the area, including the new Mercedes Benz dealership in Stockport and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, it makes commercial sense to be based right in the thick of it,” he said.
