Confectionery expert called in to revive industry standards
North West confectionery expert Andy Baxendale has been called in to revive national training standards for the industry amid fears that the country is losing the skills that have satisfied the nation’s sweet tooth for generations.
Wigan-based Andy, known throughout the industry as The Sweet Consultant, has helped the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink to update the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the sector and make them fit for purpose.
