DANIEL Slade has been made a partner at personal injury specialists, Express Solicitors.

At Express Solicitors, Daniel also deals with the more unusual and complex cases handled by the firm, such as horseriding accidents and injuries sustained on trains, planes and boats, as well as specialising in public liability and occupiers liability cases.

BRIAN Schumacker has stepped down from his position as operations director at motor dealer Lookers as part of a reorganisation of the board. He is staying with the company and has been given a new role, operations director for business development.

Chairman Phil White, said  “I would like to thank Brian for his valuable contribution to the group during his 10 years on the board.

“I am delighted that Brian will be continuing with Lookers where he will lead the delivery of improved profitability across the group, particularly in aftersales.”

ABODE Chester, the new 85-room hotel, has appointed its seven-strong management team.

Neil Parker joins as financial controller from Blue Rainbow Apartments in Manchester.

Elle Britton joins as front of house/revenues manager from Radisson Blu Hotel, Liverpool. 

Matthew Orr has been appointed as night manager from the Crowne Plaza in Chester, while Matthew Courtneidge takes the position of meetings and events manager and Stephanie Morgan joins as reception manager from De Vere hotels.

Additional team members include Moira Smith as head housekeeper and Christophe Hesbert as operations manager.

The team joins general manager Faye Kelly in overseeing the hotel’s 120 staff.

Ms Kelly said: “I am delighted to have recruited such a strong management team for ABode Chester. The combined knowledge base and skills of our team will ensure that our guests experience a great stay.”
