Duo launch dental training centre
A NEW dental training facility has been set up in Manchester city centre.
The 6,000 sq ft training centre, set up by dentists Phil Broughton and Andy McLean, sits above the Mall Advanced Dental Care, their existing dental practice on Booth Street.
The pair have launched the centre, called DARE (Dental Advancement Refinement Education), as many training courses and centres are currently based in London.
It features a 30 seated lecture theatre, 20 work stations for participants to learn new hands on techniques, and five working surgeries.
Mr Phil Broughton said: “Our vision when we launched DARE was to draw on our 20 years of clinical experience and international travel in the pursuit of dental excellence to provide a training centre that is second to none.”
The amount invested in the centre has not been disclosed but funding was provided by The Royal Bank of Scotland’s Healthcare team in Manchester to help cover the fit out costs and purchase equipment.
