Myriad CEG launches Preston wind energy base

TURBINE specialist Myriad CEG Wind has launched new headquarters in Preston, employing 30 staff.

The business has taken 13,000 sq ft at Red Scar industrial estate which will house 30 staff who were previously working around the UK.

It is part of the Leicestershire-based Myriad CEG group which also supplies solar, biomass and heat pump equipment.

Managing director of the wind division Phil McVan said: “Our move to Preston means that we now have all our operations based on one site.

“That will help give us even more focus on growing and developing our business and providing our clients with the very best renewable energy strategies that work for them.”

He added: “Preston is a fantastic location for us, with its excellent communication links and the wealth of energy expertise that exists here that we can tap into.

“The new headquarters is a major investment in our future and means that nationally Preston is now at the heart of wind technology development in the UK. As we grow we hope to be able to expand our workforce and create more jobs for the local area. These are exciting times for Myriad CEG Wind and for our committed and dedicated workforce in Preston.”
