Swans Travel revs up fleet investment

NORTH West coach and executive travel company Swans is investing £2m in 10 new vehicles over the next 12 months.

The Oldham company will take delivery of a new Mercedes-Benz Tourino coach next month, then six new Tourismos in April and a further three next September. The new vehicles will be to Swans’ executive specification.

Managing director Kieran Swindells said: “Business has been excellent this year. We are nearing completion of an acquisition, have new corporate and tourism contracts starting in 2013 and therefore felt the time was right to invest in what will be our 40th Mercedes product this year”

Jonathan Prime, general manager coach sales at dealer EvoBus (UK) said: “This latest order from Swans Travel is fantastic news.

“Swans is continually investing in our products and these new additions to their Mercedes-Benz portfolio mark a significant stage in our ongoing business relationship.”

Established in 1978 Swans Travel is based on Broadway Business Park, Chadderton and has 50 staff.
