Construction software firm attracts £400k investment

THE North West Fund for Digital & Creative has invested in construction software venture Sitedesk.

The fund has taken a stake alongside other investors in the Cheadle-based business which has raised £435,000.

The start-up is preparing to launch a building information modelling service that can be used by construction professionals working in the field.

It is owned by Paul Grady and Danny Doohan, who have been joined by chief technology officer Chris Stewart and chairman Craig Slater, who ran the listed construction software company Eleco until 2011.

The North West Fund for Digital & Creative, managed by AXM Venture Capital, is part of the £155m North West Fund which is financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the European Investment Bank.
