A CORPORATE team from Pinsent Masons in Manchester, led by office head Helen Ridge, has advised on the £400m acquisition of Yorkshire-based affordable housing developer Keepmoat.

Acting for Sun Capital and investment funds managed by TDR Capital LLP, the deal team at Pinsents also included legal director Anna Whetham, senior associate Sarah Flinn and associates Amie Norris and Alasdair Weir.

Helen Ridge commented: “We were delighted to assist TDR Capital and Sun Capital on this acquisition.  We hope to continue to work closely with them as they look to expand their portfolio.”

THREE solicitors at national law firm Shoosmiths in Manchester are among 20 promotions to associate taking effect this month.

The trio are Anna Scott and Lauren Lee in recovery services and Sian Walker in real estate.

WILMSLOW-based Bott & Co Solicitors is celebrating after being shortlisted for two awards in this year’s Modern Law Awards.

At the Modern Law Awards, to be held in London next month, the personal injury specialist is in the running for the Best Marketing Campaign and Client Care Initiative of the Year awards.

The winners of the Modern Law Awards will be announced on October 15 at The London Hilton Hotel at a ceremony hosted by writer, broadcaster and former MP Gyles Brandreth.

ALSO featured in the Modern Law Awards is Hale-based Blackstone Solicitors, which has been shortlisted in the Team of the Year category.
