Vision Park dream to become reality

DETAILED planning consent has been granted for all phases of the five-acre Burnley Vision Park development in Lancashire.

Trebor Developments says the consent allows for office, innovation and advanced manufacturing premises over 100,000 sq ft of phased accommodation with units from 1,000 sq ft up to 30,000 sq ft available.

Managing partner for Trebor, Bob Tattrie, said: “Working with our partners at Burnley Borough Council, we have concluded the site master plan and have detailed planning consent in less than 12 months of our selection.

“It is now ready to deliver, having been prepared and with planning in place. Our fast track approach to deliver specific premises to occupiers needs to be very attractive.”

Burnley Council leader Mark Townsend said: “Vision Park will provide a unique offer to a range of businesses with a focus on advanced manufacturing and digital industries that can connect to the unrivalled manufacturing and robotic technologies in the adjacent education campus, as well as superb centrally located office accommodation.

“Burnley’s £800m investment in infrastructure, the creation of modern business environments to attract growing businesses and proactive business support environment, saw an occupier take-up of 970,000 sq ft of new business space in 2014, bucking the national trend in occupier take-up rates”.
