James Fisher takes prime Preston site

LETTING agents Cushman & Wakefield has let Gordon House – a 30,000 sq ft office building in Bamber Bridge, near Preston to James Fisher Nuclear.

The deal follows continued expansion by James Fisher which is expected to relocate from its existing site in Leyland.

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed but it is understood a five-year lease was agreed at a rental of about £15 per sq ft.

The modern three-storey building was originally purpose built for The Woodford Group in 19999 and is situated close to the intersection of the M61/M65 and M6 interchange.

Jonathan Baucher of sole agent Cushman & Wakefield said: “This was a significant letting for the region and represents one of the largest office lettings to be completed in the local market over the last decade.

“We are continuing to experience strong levels of occupational demand across the region and this latest transaction is evidence of this trend.”

Cushman & Wakefield were acting on behalf of AMEY.
