The imporvement will also include the creation of a new restaurant and upgrading of the spa facilities.

Director Samantha Lewis says that as The Dalmeny targets further growth, investment in its three key market segments – leisure guests, corporate guests and events – is crucial.

She said: “Our aim has always been to develop a destination that will have a very long and rich legacy and create great experiences and lasting happy memories. Investment of this kind will provide even more reason for people to visit, and keep visiting, The Dalmeny Resort Hotel.

“As customer habits continue to evolve, hotels must stay in tune with trends and invest in quality to ensure we’re providing what people want. For example, as well as refurbishing our rooms and updating the bathrooms, we’ve also created new family rooms and added two more rooms with facilities for wheelchair users.

“We’re seeing an increase in wedding bookings, much of which has been due to the growing popularity of winter weddings and an upsurge in bookings from older clients. The new facilities will allow us to host up to 200 people for celebrations and corporate events, and we’re already experiencing high levels of demand.”

Due to be completed next spring, the new ceremony room will host up to 80 guests within the Atrium Suite area and has an exclusive red carpet entrance off the car park for enhanced privacy. The Atrium itself can accommodate 200 people with its own mezzanine level cocktail bar.

The new restaurant, Indigo Bar and Grill, will feature a brand new a la carte menu designed by head chef Kyle de’Ath and using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Samantha added: “The Carvery restaurant has served us very well for the past 30 years but we have found our clientele is looking for a more modern dining experience, and this new restaurant will be our best yet.”
