GCA Altium brokers Edenhouse investment by ECI
Deal secures boost from private equity firm

INVESTMENT bank GCA Altium has acted as financial adviser to Edenhouse, a systems, applications and products (SAP) specialist, on securing a minority investment by private equity house ECI Partners.

Edenhouse is described as an SAP ‘one-stop shop’ offering consulting, support and implementation services across the entire portfolio of SAP products.

The business has more than 250 permanent onshore consultants based in its offices in Manchester, Birmingham and Farnborough.

Edenhouse has delivered more than 800 SAP projects and currently serves around 300 enterprise customers, as well as a growing number of SMEs.

As part of the deal, the Edenhouse management team, led by chief executive Paul Solomon, will continue to manage and grow the business with the financial and strategic support of ECI Partners.

A team at GCA Altium, comprising managing director Stephen Georgiadis, director Oliver Vaughan and associate Declan O’Connor, advised Edenhouse on the transaction.

The latest deal sees GCA build on its leading position as an international technology sector adviser, having completed over 20 transactions in the sector in the past six months.

Solomon said: “GCA Altium were first class. Their experience and detailed knowledge of our sector enabled us to deliver the right result for all stakeholders – and in ECI, we have found the ideal partner to take our business forward.”

Georgiadis said: “Edenhouse has demonstrated its growth potential, with impressive year-on-year figures since being founded in 2008. The management team has developed a clear differentiation in the marketplace, which has enabled the business to target customers of any size.

“We were pleased to have helped the team to secure the investment from ECI, and as one of the UK’s leading technology investors, we are confident the firm represents a strong and supportive partner during the company’s future development.”

Richard Chapman, partner at ECI Partners, said: “We are looking forward to working with the team at Edenhouse and are excited to be part of its future journey. The business employs very talented and committed people who are delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

“GCA Altium gave great advice to the team at Edenhouse and ourselves, enabling us to appreciate what a fantastic business Paul and the team had developed. ECI has been investing in the technology sector for over 30 years, and Edenhouse is a great fit into our stable of past and current technology-led investments.”
