5 things to do this Bank Holiday weekend

Ed Sheeran
Man of the moment Ed Sheeran is bringing his highly-anticipated tour to the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham this weekend. The Suffolk born performer is spending both Friday and Saturday night at the arena and fans can expect to hear his latest hit singles, including Shape Of You, Castle On The Hill and Galway Girl, alongside his classics like Sing, The A Team and Thinking Out Loud. Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K
Get your running shoes on this weekend and enter the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K, which is taking place on Sunday. The event is perfect for those whose music is their motivator, with popular songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s and present day all making their appearance – simply choose the music you like the most and join in the race. The race itself starts close to Millennium Point and will take you through Digbeth past Edgbaston Cricket Ground before heading down the Pershore Road towards the Bullring Shopping Centre. Pizza Festival
Celebrate all things pizza this Bank Holiday weekend. Taste & Liquor are hosting the event at their venue No21 Digbeth on Milk Street on Saturday and the line-up will include a whole range of independent street food traders as well as four of the UK’s top pizzerias who will be battling it out. Their weapons of choice? Everything from meat feasts to Hawaiian pizzas. There will also be a wide selection drinks to try as well as live entertainment and game shows to get involved in. Sing-a-Long-a Frozen
Head along with the kids to the Birmingham Hippodrome on Monday to get involved with the Frozen Sing-a-Long special. The film, which the kids have probably sang along to for almost four years now, follows Anna on her journey to find her sister Elsa and the Snow Queen and finally put an end to her icy spell. Swingamajig Festival
Swingamajig Festival is returning to Birmingham on Sunday. The festival, which takes place at The Rainbow Venue in Digbeth, will feature seven stages and a range of hidden speakeasies where you will be able to throw yourself into a vintage extravaganza.
