Law firm offers free help to riot affected businesses

A LAW firm in Birmingham is giving up its time for free to help businesses affected by the riots in the city.

Clarke Willmott is offering free legal advice on any matter such as dealing with employees and their safety to recovering losses incurred by Monday night’s rioting.

Owen Williams, partner and head of litigation, told TheBusinessDesk.com: “A lot of local businesses have been affected by the rogues and ruffians who went on the rampage.

“That will throw up a number of legal issues for businesses and we want to give them a couple of hours of our time to get them on their way. People will need help to deal with matters very quickly.

“Clearly, it’s going to cost us money, the currency of a law firm is the time of our lawyers.

“But we think it’s the right thing to do as part of the business community to help business that have been affected.”
