Autobrokers acquires Overfinch Bespoke Vehicles out of administration

PRESTIGE vehicle supplier Autobrokers has completed a deal which has seen it acquire the business and assets of Overfinch Bespoke Vehicles from administrators of the company.

Autobrokers, headquartered in Birstall, West Yorkshire, and trading as Overfinch Leeds, has been the UK’s largest retailer of Overfinch products for the past five years.

Wilson Field in Sheffield were appointed administrators of Overfinch Bespoke Vehicles in November and were advised by legal firm Clarion in Leeds.

Established in 1975, Overfinch Bespoke Vehicles was the market leader in bespoke Range Rovers, which are driven by celebrities including Jeremy Clarkson, Steven Gerrard and Colleen Rooney.

Following the deal, Autobrokers is to make substantial investment in key operational and product development areas, including limited edition vehicles.

“There were a number of bids for the business and the level of interest in acquiring the Overfinch brand is testament to its popularity and global appeal.

Autobrokers was assisted in the acquisition by John Holroyd, of accountants Mazars, and Martin Sweeney and James Wood of law firm Schofield Sweeney.
