Retail park completed after multi-million pound investment

Sheffield shopping hub Kilner Way Retail Park has been extended after a multi-million pound investment by developer Derwent.

Work has completed on the third and final phase, introducing a gym, coffee shop and new units as well as 200 additional car parking spaces to Kilner Way.

Developer Derwent Group has spearheaded the expansion, and its new units are now home to TK Maxx and Dunelm, with Xercise4Less taking over the gym unit.

Caddick Construction was the lead contractor on the first two phases, which converted the former supermarket site to provide more than 140,000 sq ft of retail space.

Andrew Murray, managing director at Caddick Construction, said: “Caddick Construction is developing a significant northern retail portfolio – we’ve previously successfully delivered the £40m Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park in Leeds and the £90m Vangarde Shopping Park in York, and we’re currently working with Derwent on the 700,000 sq ft, £100m Liverpool Shopping Park development.

“It’s fantastic to see our hard work coming together to create a high quality finished result, well used by the local community as a popular shopping destination.”
