Westrow founders to launch training academy

THE founders of Yorkshire hairdressing chain Westrow have completed on a 5,000 sq ft building which is set to become a training academy.

Directors Marc Westerman and Steve Rowbottom will launch the Westrow Training Academy in Leeds this summer.

It will offer hairdressing apprenticeships alongside bespoke creative and business courses.

Mr Westerman said: “As we have expanded we have developed our business and educational strategy to ensure we are always at the forefront of innovation, which is why we have made the decision to launch the Westrow Academy.”

Mr Rowbottom added: “We envisage education will be one of the major growths for Westrow.

“Our aim in the future is then to roll out satellite academies to deliver the same services in other parts of the country as we expand our salon base.”

The Westrow group operates seven salons across Yorkshire and was launched in 1987.
