Leeds steak and seafood restaurant gets revamp

LEEDS steak and seafood restaurant Blackhouse has undergone a major refurbishment with a menu change to match.

The site on East Parade will reopen on 29 October following a refurbishment of its interiors as well as the development on an extension, including an all-weather conservatory.

The expansion increases covers at the restaurant by 20 and complements the ongoing improvements at Bond Court and neighbouring Greek Street.

Blackhouse is undergoing a menu overhaul to match its new look, introducing the ‘Book of Beef’ – an in-house guide on everything you need to know about beef.

It is adding to its premium range of English Galician, Wagyu and its Big Boy cuts. Himalayan rock salt aged beef can be cut and weighed at your table.

It says it will be emphasising seafood on the new menu, with seared sashimi tuna and whole-baked seabass fillets on the menu in addition to its lobster options.

Blackhouse managing director, Scott Grimbleby, said:”We are really excited about the refresh and new menu in Leeds. It’s the biggest change we have seen for a number of years in Blackhouse and part of a bigger plan to refresh the brand and return it to its position as the ‘old favourite’ – somewhere our guests can hunker down, chat freely, feel comfortable and really enjoy the great food, drink and atmosphere that we are so well known for.”
