Construction firm marks milestone with £10m order book

York construction company has kicked off the year with a £10m order book for 2017 as it celebrates eight years in business.

Evora Construction is working on a host of projects within its home city with the construction of the new coffee shop facilities at Deans Garden Centre, and the redevelopment of the former BHS building and the adjacent former Wallis unit on Coney Street to bring revamped retail space to the iconic street.

Last year saw Evora construct more than 30 apartments in former office buildings across the country and this area of the business has continued to grow with 40 dwellings currently in construction.

Recently the development of 18 one and two bedroom apartments at Aviator Court in Clifton Moor has been completed and the properties are now on the market.

In the last 12 months Evora has made further appointments to its head office team, recently appointing Richard Smith to the post of small works and after care manager to support clients after the main build is completed.

Evora Construction director Richard Elam said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our 8th birthday and to be undertaking work on a number of great projects for new and returning clients, many of whom we have worked for since we formed the business.”

Evora Construction is due to finish building four luxury dwellings in Flamstead, Hertfordshire in late spring 2017 for developer Gade Group.
