Latest appointments: Willis Leeds expands, M3 boost investment team & more

WILLIS Leeds, a division of the global insurance broker Willis Group Holdings, has appointed a new client service executive.

Alan Stockdale has joined the firm from broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson.

Mr Stockdale, 29, will be responsible for managing the insurance programmes for Willis’ major corporate clients in the North of England.

Jeff Hobson, Willis’ Leeds branch director, said: “Alan’s appointment comes at a great time for Willis. Our business is growing and our office is rapidly winning new clients.

Willis’ Leeds office presently has 25 associates.

DISTRIBUTION and warehousing property specialist, M3 Agency, has appointed an investment consultant to its northern office.

James Bruce joined the Sheffield-based investment services division from Knight Frank.

He will specialise in investment agency and be responsible for growing business across the North of England.

Roger Haworth, joint head of M£’s northern branch said: “I am delighted to welcome James to M3, his wealth of experience and knowledge will be an asset to our team.”

HESSLE-based marketing agency, Bluestorm has made a trio of appointments.

James Merrylees joined the agency as an PR executive, with Adam Carlile joining as a web developer and Nicole McWilliam as an account handler.

All three new recruits joined the company from other regional agencies.

THE company behind a £50 million education scheme in Leeds, has sponsored two academic posts at Leeds Metropolitan University.

Property group, Downing are behind the Broadcasting Place scheme on Woodhouse Lane in the city which will feature 130,000 sq ft of teaching space for the university and student residences.

Greg Keefe has been appointed as the Downing chair of sustainable architecture and will take up his post in June, whilst Professor Malcolm Bell was appointed as Downing chair of sustainable housing at the end of last year.
