£4m manufacturing site up for sale

A £4m former manufacturing plant in South Derbyshire is up for sale and “ripe for redevelopment”, according to the agent marketing the site.

Lambert Smith Hampton has been appointed joint marketing agent with Savills for the former Montracon site, in Thorn Street, Woodville.

Once home to a trailer manufacturing plant, the site sits on 12.55 acres of land with accommodation including predominantly single storey workshop units with offices.

Matthew Tilt, LSH director – industrial & logistics, said: “We are already fielding enquiries from potential developers of the former Montracon site and anticipate interest to continue to be strong. The existing buildings constitute a mixture of light industrial, general industrial and storage and distribution and although they could be used in their current form, the site is also ripe for development.

“Given its location, within a predominantly residential area, it may be suitable for a variety of alternative uses, subject to relevant permissions.”
