Law firm Flint Bishop has added to its employment practice at its Derby office with the appointment of Alex Reid.
Reid, who joins from Freeths as an associate, has several years’ experience in handling contentious and non-contentious employment law matters at both regional and national law firms.
Reid said: “I am really pleased to be a part of the team at Flint Bishop. This is a great opportunity to play a role in the continued growth and success of the department and the wider firm. The team has made me feel at home straightaway, and I’m excited for the year ahead.”

Recruitment agency, Encore Personnel, has announced the appointment of a new director to its board.
Lucy Kuc steps into the role of sales director after most recently excelling as head of client solutions for the managed services division of the business.
Kuc said: “My vision for the sales team is continuation of plans to create a high performance and sophisticated sales culture which is centred on strategic wins and value-added, cross-selling approaches. We’re all about giving customers and potential customers what they need, when they need it – be that 10 or 1,000 colleagues.
“I’m stepping in to the shoes of Ian Briers, who has been one of the most supportive, guiding and inspiring leaders I’ve worked with; not only as a skilled and highly talented sales person but as an emotional rock – and I do feel the pressure to live up to his example!

Meena Hanspal
Charity Notts County Foundation has appointed Jordan Worthington and Meena Hanspal to its board of trustees.
Worthington, who was recently promoted to head of commercial at Notts County Football Club, joins having been a key member of staff at the club since 2018, having previously spent over 10 years working at Nottingham Forest covering roles in marketing, public relations, and ticketing.
Hanspal has worked within the financial sector for over twenty years, taking up roles within human resources and fraud investigation. In search of a new career direction, she launched her own small business The Vegetarian Rasoi, using local produce and suppliers with a core ethos around sustainability and zero waste in 2017.
