Landa steps up at NG
One of the East Midlands rising stars in the East Midlands commercial property scene is celebrating after qualifying as an APC Assessor.
Sunny Landa, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, has passed the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors APC Assessor Programme – a key milestone in any surveyor’s career.
Landa said: “I’m extremely happy to have qualified as an assessor. I did this primarily to progress in my craft as a Chartered Surveyor and increase my knowledge base so I can give my clients the best advice I possibly can.
“I am also grateful to my co directors for the support they have given me through this process, it shows that once again NG Chartered Surveyors is investing in the future of the commercial property sector and we continue to take steps forward.
“This appointment has to be seen as a positive move for the RICS and for surveying in general. The RICS all too often seems not to know how to attract new talent and how to make surveying “cool”, appointments like this will go a long way to addressing this.”
Richard Sutton, Landa’s fellow director, added: “Passing the APC assessment is a landmark in Sunny’s development. It proves that he is an expert in his field.”
Sutton added: “All too often the surveying sector is dominated with middle-aged, white men. Once again, NG is leading the way in pushing our sector towards a more inclusive attitude. For a small firm like NG we punch well above our weight in terms of finding and developing talent in surveying.
“Two recent NG “alumni” include Henry Henson now development manager at Wilson Bowden and William Wall, Partner at Banks Long and co in Lincoln. We recruited both straight out of university and nurtured their talent getting both through their APC assessment first time.”
Last September Kelly Oakley joined NG as a graduate trainee and is currently working closely with Sunny and the NG team as she studies for her Royal Charter.
