Purpose Media lands Corporate Games brief

Marketing agency Purpose Media has been unveiled as the lead digital partner of the 2017 UK Corporate Games – Europe’s largest multi-sports festival for business.

The Games, which take place in Nottingham between 6-9 July, will see thousands of competitors from hundreds of employers across the UK take part in a range of sports, from football and rugby to swimming, cycling and tennis.

They aim to promote corporate and individual wellbeing through sport, competition, fun and fitness.

Individual and team medals are on offer and the winners in each sport will get the chance to represent their organisation at the World Corporate Games, in Texas, in November.

Purpose Media, based off junction 28 of the M1, specialises in ecommerce websites, web design, digital marketing, video, branding and PR. It will help to raise the profile of the Games to local businesses as part of the deal, as well as providing marketing and digital support.

Its marketing services director, Katrina Starkie, said: “We’re pleased to be partnering such a high-profile event. It was a real coup for Nottingham to be selected as host city for 2017 and the Games is set to be one of the city’s biggest events of the year.

“Purpose Media is passionate not only about sport, but also about helping local businesses to succeed and grow, so we’re pleased to have the opportunity to share our expertise to support the event, raise its profile and encourage as many local businesses as possible to enter.”

Corporate Games director Ben Sedgemore said: “We’re delighted to have Purpose Media on board as our official digital partner and have been impressed by the advice and support they have given us so far.

“We’ve been blown away by the quality and the number of world class facilities that are available in Nottingham. Staging the Corporate Games here presents us with a wonderful opportunity.”
