£10m Derbyshire packaging firm enters administration
Charapak, a £10m turnover packaging company based in Alfreton, has entered administration along with its subsidiaries Siliconpak and Charapak Speciality Packaging.
Charapak was established in 1980 and has a manufacturing, fulfilment and storage facility on the Meadow Lane Industrial Estate in Alfreton, along with a sales office in London. The company is run by directors Peter Ward and Richard Squibb.
In its latest accounts for the year ending 31 December 2015 made a profit of £158,000 – down from £723,000 the previous year. At the time the firm employed 82 people.
Duff & Phelps has been appointed administrator to the company.
