Leicester manufacturer to work with snooker world champion

Leicester-based manufacturer of outdoor play equipment Red Monkey has started working with Leicester-born world snooker champion, Mark Selby, to gain a foothold in the premium residential market.

Red Monkey agreed to design and install a brand new play house for Selby’s two-year-old daughter Sofia. In return, the snooker legend will be working with the business more closely, helping to promote and raise their profile in the area. Red Monkey says it hopeful that the newly-formed relationship will bring new business opportunities.

The company, which design and manufactures outdoor play equipment for schools and nurseries, believe there is much more potential in this new market.

Managing director, Simon Winfield, said: “Mark has been a pleasure to work with and we believe we have an offering for the premium residential market. We’re hoping that by continuing to work with Mark, he can help us develop this aspect of what we can do.”

Selby added: “I’m very impressed with the play house that Red Monkey have created. My daughter is over the moon, and I would recommend their services to anyone looking for play equipment. Most probably know them for supplying to schools and nurseries, but I believe there’s a huge gap in the residential market for them.”
