Derby tech firm set to become “major employer”

SST provides a platform for elite athletes to excel in their prospective field

A Derby tech firm is set to create nine jobs at its Pride Park offices.

Serious Sports Technology (SST), which researches sports tech, is looking to take on a nine-strong web development team and has entered into an agreement with fellow Derby firm Talk Staff Recruitment to fill the roles.

Sales and marketing director for Talk Staff Group, David Orange, said: “This is an extremely exciting time for SST, they’re on a journey to achieving something incredible. It’s the start of something huge and the core team that deliver these initial projects will be looked after, with exponential possibilities for their careers.”

Orange says SST will become a “major employer” within the next five years, focusing on developing and bringing existing technologies together to provide a suite of tools, applications and hardware technologies, which will be used around the world.

Initially, Talk Staff Recruitment are set to work on the campaign for its nine-strong development team and are looking for Full Stack C# Developers, Unity Developers, VR Specialists, UX/UI Developers, Middleware Developers & Cloud/Big Data Specialists with technologies specifically of interest to include C#, ASP.NET, jQuery, HADOOP, AWS, HIVE & PrestoDB.
